Meet our Resident in Counseling

Hope and Healing Counseling is a ministry of All Nations Church in Newport News, VA. The ministry was founded to meet the mental health care needs of individuals, couples, and families by providing affordable counseling services and resources to the local community.

I am a Newport News based trained, pre-license clinician with training in Counseling and Psychotherapy. I received my Masters in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia and am actively engaged in a counseling residency towards licensure to practice Professional Counseling in the the state of Virginia.

As a retired Air Force Veteran, wife and mother I understand the complexities and challenges of family and marital relationships. My practice addresses the needs of individuals, couples, and families and extends to persons of all ages. I serve clients through diagnosis and treatment of a variety of mental health issues and problems in living to include anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and trauma, marital and family issues, domestic violence, and career counseling.

My goal is to help restore hope and give you a safe place to heal and overcome the challenges in your life. My approach is integrative which is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies. I believe each person needs to be considered as a whole and counseling techniques must be tailored to their individual needs and personal circumstances.
